Camp Con Brio is dedicated not only to providing a great learning experience for students, but for future string teachers as well. Every year, the camp hosts an intern, giving them the opportunity to experience string teaching and music education first-hand. Interns work with professional teachers within the context of the camp to design a teaching plan, discuss delivery and classroom management, teach a sectional, and receive feedback. The purpose of the program is to provide a potential string teacher with real world teaching experience. Our intern usually returns the following summer as a paid member of the camp staff. Interns attend the camp free of charge and are compensated for counselor responsibilities.
If you are interested in becoming an Intern for Summer 2019, complete the online application. To be qualified you must be a high school senior choosing to pursue music education as your college major, or currently a college student (bachelor's or master's) studying music education.
The application deadline is June 1, 2019.
